- responding to shipyard redundancies in the 1990s and 2000s’ – leading a development agency response;

Stuart Klosinski the company’s principal consultant is chartered town planner (M.R.T.P.I.) achieving one of the fastest ever completions of the Institute’s professional examinations in 1979 leading to chartered status.

the business has since 2015 lead consultant managing Furness Economic Development Forum’s delivery of its ‘Supply Chain and Transforming Skills Programme 2015-2019′ and design and implementation of FEDF Delivery Plans for 2014 to 2017 and 2018- to 2022 within a multi-organisational team drawn from BAESYSTEMS, Furness College, Barrow Borough and South Lakeland District Councils. This involved coordinated delivery of skills, infrastructure, business support supply chain, quality of life improvement priorities across Furness and external engagement with Government departments, industry, local authority, LEP and social enterprise stakeholders.
Between 1991 and 2015 he was Industrial Development Manager in Furness Enterprise Development Agency leading delivery of direct support to companies of all sizes, managing successful bids for UK government and ERDF funded programmes, coordinating attraction of inward investment, responses to economic shocks and delivery of novel forms of innovation support. He also led promotion of the area’s marketing activities.
Four years managing Barrow Council’s industrial development and estates activity preceded that role. Earlier roles in Lancashire County Council, Barrow Borough Council and Fife Region Council provided a foundation in development management, economic development including attraction of the onshore gas processing facilities to Rampside near Barrow and environmental impact assessment of large scale industrial projects including the original Devonshire Dock Hall shipyard modernisation investment.
